Nombre The MA in Human Rights and Democratisation in the Caucasus (CES)

Objetivos It is an intensive and interdisciplinary one-year graduate programme in the region that provides knowledge and thorough training in the fields of human rights and democratisation.

The main aim of the programme is to support promotion of democracy, rule of law and good governance, together with strengthening Human rights protection in post-Soviet states.

Contenido First Semester
From September 2023 to January 2024 (30 ECTS) at Yerevan State University.

Second Semester - Mobility term
From February/March 2024 to May/June 2024 (15 ECTS)

Each Student during 1st semester will choose one of three mobility tracks to attend during second semester.

Second Semester – Part II
From June to September 2024 (15 ECTS)

After mobility part of Second semester students return to their home countries to work on:

Internship
Master Thesis
Idioma English
Metodología empleada On campus. The MA Programme is designed for participants from various professional and academic backgrounds (legal, social, political science, etc.). It provides solid theoretical foundation and proposes three main tracks – legal, political and interdisciplinary. The programme adopts two-dimensional development approach, which allows students to choose specialisation and to develop both research and practical skills (fact finding mission interviews, policy paper writing, advocacy skills, etc.).

Título, diploma o certificado otorgado Master`s Degree
Requisitos de admisión Have a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized higher education institution. In case if applicant has not yet received diploma, they should provide documentation stating indicative date for receiving degree/ diploma from the institution and transcript of grades;
Fluency in English;
Have Professional and/or research interest in human rights and democratisation issues.
Becas Based on admission results, the programme will offer admission with full, partial scholarship or no scholarship basis. Depending on the Scholarship funding source as well conditions may vary depending on applicant’s country of residence and will be communicated in admission letter or separately.
Coste de la enseñanza/Coste de alojamiento Programme tuition fee is fixed by the Yerevan State University and it may vary based on applicant’s country of residence:

Group 1: citizens of the Republic of Armenia, Artsakh, Javakhk and Diaspora Armenians from Syria – 900,000.00AMD
Group 2: citizens of NIS countries – 1,170,000.00 AMD
Group 3: citizens of other states –1,350,000.00 AMD

Información adicional The MA Programme in the Caucasus is an interdisciplinary programme (with legal, political and multidisciplinary components), with duration of 1 year (60 ECTS). It is implemented by a consortium of six leading universities in the region: Yerevan State University (coordinator), Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (host university), American University in Central Asia (host university), Tbilisi State University (host university), Belarusian State University (associate partner), and Moldova State university.
