Objectives |
All international training programmes carried out have aimed at providing participants with in-depth knowledge of and tools to interact with and use international and regional systems for the promotion and protection of human rights, regional and international monitoring mechanisms and national implementation procedures in the field of human rights. In addition, several of the training programmes have in this context had a focus on international human rights law as it relates to the equal status and human rights of women. |

Methodology used |
The duration of the international training programmes have been 3-5 weeks in Sweden, in most cases followed by a second phase of 1-2 weeks duration in one of the participants’ home countries approximately six months after the first phase in Sweden. |

Application procedure |
Currently, RWI does not organise any international training programmes in Sweden financed by Sida. If, and when, such a programme is organised again, all necessary information will be posted on this website. Based on requests from organisations or individuals interested in this type of programmes, RWI can however present international human rights training programmes tailored to the needs and interests of the organisations or individuals in question.
