Objectives The LLM in Criminal Justice and Human Rights reflects established areas of research strength in the School of Law (one of the top-rated law schools in the UK), and offers options which are both of international relevance and which meet the demand for studying contemporary issues in UK criminal justice and human rights at an advanced level.

Content This programme allows students to combine specialist topics of human rights with contemporary issues of criminal justice.

Methodology used Assessment is based on a combination of written examination and one or more course essays. In some courses, the essay counts for 25% of the total mark. In addition students must complete a course in research methods and a dissertation on a topic within the specialism. Guidance on the writing of a dissertation is given.
Admission requirements Normally a 2(1) honours degree in Law (or another discipline) or equivalent.
