Objectives Since September 2005 the Centre has offered this unique opportunity to study an MSc in Human Rights and Human Values. The programme takes a multidisciplinary approach to human rights and values, drawing on political theory, law, philosophy, theology, international relations and ethics.
It allows students interested in human rights to approach the issue from a broad perspective and in the context of global ethics. The MSc introducse conceptual and analytical frameworks in order to encourage critical thinking and reflective practice and to improve students' factual knowledge base regarding the actual application of human rights. It provides solid research training for future academics in relevant fields, particularly those of ethics and politics and contributes to the professional development of NGO personnel and those working in the public and private sector.

Application procedure You must supply a completed University Application for Postgraduate (and Post-Experience) Study along with two completed reference forms and the University's Ethnic Monitoring Sheet (UK residents only).

Admission requirements The normal entry requirement for a Master’s Programme is a good honours degree or an equivalent professional qualification. Appropriate career experience may be taken into account. Given our flexible approach we will consider each case on its individual merits - the fundamental criteria for studying Global Ethics is commitment to the topic and a wish to create a more just world.
