Objectives The goal of the Venice School is to allow its participants to be updated on the state-of the art debate on human rights issues and to stimulate a reflexion on the actual challenges faced by human rights actors worldwide. It will also facilitate the exchange of experiences while enhancing an intercultural dialogue amongst its international participants.

Content After a first session common to all participants dedicated to a general introduction on international systems of protection of human rights and related mechanisms, the programme will develop into the three mentioned thematic clusters (Business and Human Rights; Development and Human Rights; andTransitional Justice and Fight Against Impunity), among which participants will have to choose.

Admission requirements The Venice School of Human Rights is tailored around postgraduate students from all academic backgrounds, students from the different regional masters in human rights and democratisation, to E.MA alumni as well as to human rights practitioners willing to deepen and improve their knowledge in human rights issues.
Participation is open to participants from all countries of the world with a strong knowledge of human rights.
In the selection of participants, the School lies great emphasis on interdisciplinarity and gender equality.
The School will review applications on an ongoing basis. This way, EIUC aims to give participants as much time as possible for the organisation of visa, travelling and accommodation (see also: Practical Information ). Tuition/Accommodation The registration fee for the EIUC Venice School is 860 €.

This includes:
enrolment fee,

accommodation in double room in a student residence in Venice,
lunches during all lecturing days,

all reading material connected to the School.
