Objectives The focus will be on the right to adequate housing as guaranteed by the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights as well as housing rights in other international human rights instruments and how those rights have been applied at the international and national levels.

Methodology used This certificate course involves approximately 30 hours of reading, discussion, webinars with invited experts and assignments, and is offered over a six-week period. The course is based on a participatory, active learning approach, with an emphasis on critical reflection and peer-to-peer learning. The course instructor will provide individualised feedback where appropriate. Participants will do the required readings and participate in group discussions and webinars.

Admission requirements The course is intended for human rights advocates, NGO staff and development workers who work on the right to housing. Candidates should have a good written command of English and have high competence and comfort with computer and Internet use. HREA aims to ensure equal gender and geographical distribution across the selected participants.
Scholarship Unfortunately, there are no scholarships or discounted tuition fees available for this course.
Tuition/Accommodation The course tuition fee is US$ 435. Tuition for auditors is US$ 165.
