Objectives •Understanding the dynamics of international politics and diplomatic issues and the various theoretical and practical approaches to them;

Content The Programme is divided into two taught in-house blocks (eight Saturdays per term, from 09h00 – 17H00). In addition, at the end of each taught block, GSD will integrate a complementary EMIR Winter and Summer School. During one week, EMIR students will be able to reinforce their knowledge by putting into practice the tools and instru­ments introduced during the mandatory modules. The EMIR Winter and Summer School will increase the sense of collegiality among students. Guest speak­ers, mainly practitioners, will deliver lectures and conduct special seminars.

The EMIR Winter and Summer Schools are also open to practitioners who desire to engage in an intense week of training.

Admission requirements Applicants should possess an undergraduate degree from a university or its equivalent. Students are encour­aged to discuss the course with tutors prior to application. Applicants whose mother tongue is not English must provide evidence of their English language capabili­ties at an approved level (Further information is available on our website). Applicants who fail to reach this standard may be required to complete an agreed English Language tuition programme prior to the com­mencement of the EMIR.
